KYC hosts numerous weeknight
and weekend racing series throughout the summer for both keelboats
(Sharks and Offshore Fleet) and dinghies. Sharks and offshore
fleets race Tuesday and Thursday nights from may to september
each night around 6:00 and dinghies (all classes) race Wednesday
evening.
The PHRF rating system is used to score the Offshore Fleet(s)
and Sharks are scored as a one-design fleets during weeknight
racing. Skippers need an up-to-date rating certificate to
be able to compete.
Members who have not raced
before, are advised to enroll in the adult
sailing program. If members are interested in Race Committee
work, or would like to help on the committee boat, they should
contact the Race
Management Coordinator or sign up on the list outside
the race office.

Duty
Crews of competing boats are required to participate as Race
Committees, according to the schedule of Skippers that will
be published here and on the Official Notice Board during
the racing season.
