| Beer of the Week

| Wine of the Month

This is a great wine with a fun label that looks like a poster that would be nailed to a tree in the Wild West, complete with the description "Carefully Matured in American Oak." Zinfandel may be America's heritage wine grape, but guess what? This red comes from Italy, specifically the southern region of Puglia, where zinfandel normally goes by a less popular synonym, "primitivo." This is smooth, full-bodied and accessible, with plump stewed fruit, blueberry and raisin flavours on a rounded, sweet core infused with baking spices and toasted coconut. Perfect with most past dishes, or flamed grilled meats or try it with this weeks meatball sub special!

Junior Sailing

| Queens Sailing on Force 10

Queens Rec Sailing Team out on Force 10 Sunday Oct 1st.

| CORK Fall Regatta

Outstanding record breaking July like weather for the CORK Fall Regatta this past weekend. 240 competitors, 4 countries, 2 days of racing, plenty of sun, record temperatures with the humidex well into the 30s, champagne conditions on Saturday, light shifty breeze on Sunday. This was definitely a fall regatta to remember!

A giant thank you to all of the volunteers, athletes, coaches and parents who helped make this regatta a huge success!

Congratulations to the big winners:
1st place in the 49er FX for Ali ten Hove & Mariah Millen KYC/RCYC
2nd place in the i420 for Patrick Wilson & Ari Moffat KYC/RNSYS
3rd place in the Laser Standard for Ross Murdoch KYC

For the other KYC sailors this was a great opportunity to sail against the top teams from Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia for these Ontario Championships. Many new teams, new boats and new skills learned this past weekend.
