Basic knots and other dock support.
If there is time and there are experienced volunteers available, we'll take the Martins and Access Dinghies out for a brief sail. There will be representatives from Ontario Sailing and the Canadian Yachting Association who will provide some of the briefing. They will provide briefing books for a nominal cost of $5.00, Refreshments will be served in the morning, and lunch will be available at the KYC bar.

Returning Volunteers: You are most welcome. Come and see old friends and help out the new volunteers. We plan advanced training for returning volunteers.

We look forward to seeing you there, and throughout the summer.

Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion Event - 10 June 2007
The Rick Hansen Foundation is one of our major sponsors. To show our appreciation, we try to get a good showing from among Able Sail board members and participants. If you are planning to participate in this event, please join the Able Sail team and help out the local Civitan Club with their fundraising. Wear an Able Sail golf shirt or cap (available at the front desk at KYC) and advertise Able Sail while you walk, run, or roll.

St Mary's Spinal Cord Renunion Barbecue - 14 June 2007
As usual, we'll be at the Barbecue, with one of our boats, ready to sign people up for the summer. This event is one of the major places to recruit new Able Sailors. I'm sure many of you remember your time in St Mary's, and what it meant afterwards to have an Able Sail volunteer take you sailing, to experience the freedom of the water. If you are planning to attend the barbecue, please wear your Able Sail cap, and be an ambassador for the program.

Cork Martin 16 Training Camp and Regatta - Aug 9-12 2007
Able Sail Kingston is working with CORK once this year to sponsor a big Martin 16 event. We plan a two-day training camp on August 9th and 10th, followed by participation in CORK on the 11th and 12th.
Details are to be confirmed, and the links to Notice of Race and registration forms will be posted on the Able Sail Network as soon as they are available.
The training camp will be organized in two groups, novice and advanced (gold and silver), who will alternate mornings and afternoons on the water and in shore classes.
This is a great opportunity to tune up for Mobility Cup. Mark it on your calendars. More information soon.
